Starting on the ground.
I worked in marketing for a clothing brand and sold jewellery at a night market. These were my first lessons in business: speaking with customers, presenting an offer and earning a sale.
Entrepreneur by instinct. Shaped by experience.
I'm Sam, based in Perth. My journey spans countries, industries and fresh starts. My ambition is to keep building beyond what I've done before.

I've never seen one job title as the full story of what I can do.
I've sold jewellery at a market stall, worked in kitchens, driven for a living, run businesses and studied across two countries. Each experience has given me another way to understand people, solve problems and recognise opportunity.
Today, I'm building as a founder. I want to create businesses that matter to the people who use them — and keep exploring what comes next.
Pakistan. Malaysia. Australia.
A career built through work, learning and the decision to keep moving.
I worked in marketing for a clothing brand and sold jewellery at a night market. These were my first lessons in business: speaking with customers, presenting an offer and earning a sale.
I moved to Malaysia to study at Curtin University. Alongside my studies, I ran a car rental business and drove students to markets, airports and wherever they needed to go.
Studying business and running a service at the same time gave me two very different classrooms.
After one year, I transferred to Curtin's Perth campus and completed my Bachelor of Business. I continued with business diploma studies, then completed an Advanced Diploma in Civil Construction Design.
Throughout those years, I supported myself working in a kebab shop, as a kitchen hand and as an Uber driver.
After my construction qualification, I spent two years trying to find work in the field. I continued driving to support myself while asking what I could build a future around.
I began focusing on my interest in apps, websites and technology. My experience also includes running an education consultancy agency, helping students explore opportunities at international universities.
I host on Airbnb and I'm building Mate Eats. Both bring together things I care about: people, experience and turning an idea into a service.
These are chapters in a longer journey. I intend to keep learning, exploring new opportunities and building beyond my current ventures.
Retail, hospitality, driving, education consultancy and hosting have put me close to customers. I listen, explain and pay attention to the experience people actually have.
From running a car rental service to an education consultancy, I've experienced the practical work behind a business: finding customers, managing service and following through.
I explore digital tools, shape product ideas, coordinate development and build partnerships. My strength is connecting an opportunity with the work needed to move it forward.
Different expressions of the same drive: create something useful, personal and worth returning to.
As founder of Mate Eats, I lead the vision for a social dining app that helps adults find dining companions, share meals and discover partner restaurant offers.
I shape the user experience, coordinate development, build restaurant partnerships and guide the business forward.
Explore the venture ↗As an Airbnb host, I manage the guest experience, from preparing a welcoming space to coordinating stays and communicating with guests.
My role brings together day-to-day operations, attention to detail and personal service to help each stay run smoothly.
My ambition goes beyond a single venture. I'm interested in the ideas, people and partnerships that can open the next door — and I'm prepared to do the work behind it.
